BIOGRAPHY / RESUME

Kenny started playing drums in 1975 at age nine. His first set was a toy kit with a Brady Bunch front kickhead. His first real set, an early '70s Ludwig four-piece, came in 1979.
 
April 1981 to May 1983 - drummer - Abyss - first band, used a CB 700 nine-piece set. Abyss played covers from the late '70s/early '80s and composed original songs, as well. The first show was at a local high school in May 1982. The band continued to perform at parties and shows for friends.

May 1983 to Sept 1986 - drummer - Savage - second band at age seventeen, played covers from the early '80s at parties private events through the summer of 1986. Headlined the Ayer Fayer town celebration in 1985 before an audience of several hundred. In 1983, did first pro studio work with a band called Fierce Octave.

Oct 1983 to Dec 1989 - drummer and creative contributor - Fierce Octave - original band that did two studio sessions. Played in several gigging cover bands, as well. 1988 was the year Kenny bought his first Pearl set and has played Pearl exclusively since.

Jan. 1990 to Dec. 1999 - drummer - many professional gigging cover and original projects such as The Bad Dadz, Resolution and Somethin' Else. Performed '70s and '80s music in bars, clubs, private parties, corporate events, and weddings. With members of Fierce Octave, revisited the studio in 1994 under the name Inner Childe. The band built a following for a couple of years before ending in 1996.

1999-2006 - founder, manager, drummer - M80, a tribute to the '80s hair bands. For seven years, played to enthusiastic crowds throughout New England. M80 opened for national acts such as Great White, Skid Row, and George Lynch (of Dokken and Lynch Mob). M80 was also the live entertainment for radio station WXLO's Awesome '80s Prom 2006, getting the call when Hall & Oates cancelled their appearance two weeks before the date.

2010-2011 - founder, manager, drummer - the prototype Shot of Poison, tribute to Poison. Having coordinated two wildly successful self-promoted shows, the band performed several shows including at Showcase Live at Gillette Stadium and made plans for other sizeable venues. Unfortunately, the lead singer departed the group, ending the project.

2012-2017 - drummer - primarily studio work with original bands Dashboard Sunset and Ransom Monkey. Ransom Monkey recorded and released a new CD in 2017.

2017-present - founder, drummer - Shot of Poison, the world's only tribute to the 35th anniversary of Poison. Featuring musicians long experienced in the New England scene, SOP got off to a fast start, debuting at Manchester NH's 800-capacity Palace Theatre and has not looked back. Shot of Poison has performed from Maine to Ohio, in Florida, and Los Angelese in other high-profile venues such as The Hanover Theater, Paramount Hudson Valley Theater, Blue Ocean Music Hall, Aura, The Tupelo Music Hall,Indian Ranch Amphitheater, the 10,000-capacity Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, and the 10,000 capacity Champlain Valley Fair. In 2021, the band was recognized as one of the best tribute acts in America and invited to appear on E! Entertaiment television's series Clash of the Cover Bands, produced by Jimmy Fallon. Subsequently, in a viral video message, Bret Michaels of Poison praised the band and invited them to perform a song with him on stage at a stop on his 2022 Nothin' But a Good Vibe tour (see the VIDEOS page).
